嘉宾简介:

      邓天虎,现就职于清华大学工业工程系,国家自然科学基金优秀青年基金获得者,2013年于美国加州大学伯克利分校获得工业工程与运筹博士学位,2008年于清华大学工业工程系获得学士学位。研究方向侧重智慧供应链。负责执行的中石油天然气管网优化项目入围INFORMS设立的管理科学应用界最高奖项弗兰茨·厄德曼奖(Franz Edelman Award)2018年决赛。近五年主持多项国家自然科学基金项目。以第一作者和通讯作者在Manufacturing & Service Operations Management、Operations Research、Naval Research Logistics、Journal of Energy Engineering等国际高水平学术期刊和学术会议发表论文20余篇。

主讲提纲:

1. To fill this gap, we formulate the problem as a two-stage Markov Decision Process (MDP), where component substitution and inventory replenishment decisions are made in the first and second stages, respectively.

2. We will show that under a mild increasing component inventory level condition, the optimal substitution policy is a Nested-subset Base-Stock (NBS) policy. And explain why we chose this policy.

3. Then we will introduce the NBS policy in detail. Specifically, the NBS policy first finds the largest nested-subset of components whose inventory levels are all below the subset's associated base-stock level, and then substitutes only components in the largest nested-subset following the base-stock policy. The optimal replenishment policy of the component with the shortest leadtime is the base-stock policy. But other component's optimal replenishment policies are no longer base-stock policies except when the substitution costs are sufficiently large.
